bday
A couple weeks ago it was my birthday and I had numerous celebrations spanning Salem, Corvallis and Portland! We went out in Portland to met up with some friends for dinner & drinks. I like the photo taken of me across the table by my sister at Shanghai Tunnel. Although it's ultra grainy, the movement of the people around me matches so well with the transfixed stare in my eyes. Sometimes grain can even add to the mood of an image.
This past weekend my family celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving by watching football and drinking beer/caesars while I cooked them a delicious meal full of ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, and harvest soup. I had some help from Aaron with chopping, etc., but it was the first time I've prepared a large-scale celebratory holiday meal all by myself. It was satisfying albeit not quite as succulent in my opinion as everyone's compliments would have one believe. As expected, my favorite part was the glaze on the ham. I embrace my sweet tooth....
