a collection of slides from my mother's backpacking trip through europe in the 1970s.

old photographs are extremely fun to look at. there is something eerie about these slides...something almost haunting. they make me nostalgic for something i never even experienced.

these are "slice of life" photographs that have nothing to do with my life in particular, but which make me appreciate the fleeting moments of every day. we can try to reproduce the nostalgic feeling of looking at old photos by processing them silly with old-timey filters and presets, but there's nothing like looking at the real thing and knowing the moment is gone and is unrepeatable.
